RAISED IN WYOMISSING, PENNSYLVANIA, JULIA COMES FROM A FAMILY OF CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURS. SHE GREW UP LEARNING DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS FROM HER ARCHITECT FATHER AND SPENT WEEKENDS EXPLORING ANTIQUE MALLS WITH HER MOTHER AND UNCLE - BOTH EARLY EXPERIENCES THAT SHAPED HER LOVE FOR HISTORIC DETAIL, COLOR, AND MATERIALITY.
JULIA BEGAN HER DESIGN CAREER AT NATE BERKUS ASSOCIATES IN NEW YORK CITY, WHERE SHE WORKED ON A RANGE OF RESIDENTIAL RENOVATION AND FURNISHING PROJECTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. under the mentorship of nate berkus and partner Lauren Buxbaum gordon, she developed an eye for layered interiors and gained hands-on experience with historic renovations, vintage sourcing, and textile scheming.
JULIA GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME WITH A DEGREE IN MARKETING AND SUPPLEMENTAL MAJOR IN ART HISTORY and has completed continuing education courses at New York school of interior design. SHE CURRENTLY LIVES IN NEW YORK CITY AND ENJOYS SPENDING TIME IN BERMUDA AND AVALON, NJ.
Masano interiors was founded in 2025 and is currently working on projects in New York City, Florida, Chicago, Rhode Island, and Philadelphia.
